Chelle Turingan is the co-director, producer and editor of Xtra Magazine’s feature documentary film, Small Town Pride, which is available to stream for free in Canada on CBC Gem.

 
 

In 2021, Small Town Pride was selected to screen at various film festivals across Canada—Inside Out in Toronto, FIN Atlantic International Film Festival in Halifax, Reel Pride Film Festival in Winnipeg and Rainbow Visions in Edmonton—and received a Gold Award from the Spotlight Documentary Film Awards.

Co-Hosts Erica Lenti and Chelle Turingan record an episode of “Off The Chart” at the Xtra Magazine podcast studio.

 

In 2020, Chelle Turingan produced and co-hosted Xtra Magazine’s podcast series, Off The Chart, which received a Digital Publishing Award nomination for “Best Podcast - Arts & Culture”.

 

 

In 2019, Chelle Turingan was accepted into the prestigious Poynter Institute’s Leadership Academy for Diversity in Digital Media, in partnership with The Washington Post.

 

 

Formerly, Chelle Turingan was Deputy Editor, Video at Rogers Media where they shot and edited digital content for eight nationally revered publications. They also freelance from time to time.
